The standard High Power mag only holds 20 bullets, and you'll need to collect 60 kills to unlock any further options. As such, the SFAR-M is one of the few assault rifles that can be just as deadly in single fire, making sure that each of those 20 shots land. Ditch single fire at close ranges however, because you'll almost certainly lose.
One of the biggest selling points of the best Battlefield 2042 SFAR-M loadouts is the grenade launcher underbarrel. You can only select variants of the grenade launcher but be sure you are using this. It is a fantastic way to pick off enemies while just poking out of cover for a second. Getting right into it for a variety of scopes you'll want the Fusion Holo, the TV 2x, and the Raven 4x, meaning you'll be covered for all ranges. If you want a more traditional assault rifle experience, then the Standard Issue mag will boost that mag size a bit. However, to stay true to the experience of the SFAR-M, we'd go with the High-Power/Drum so you keep the damage and extend your capacity up to 50 rounds. For your underbarrel an 40mm Incendiary or Factory Mounts help with that crowd control, but considering the overwhelming presence of vehicles, we'd go for the 40mm AP.
