As a collective, we Call of Duty fans do like things that go KA-BOOM. It's in our DNA, and ever since we hit that Harrier, Pavelow, AC130 combo back in 2009 to achieve our first tactical nuke, the need for loud and deadly explosions has only grown hungrier.

This is why we thought the worst when the Modern Warfare 2 beta removed the ability to attain the classic Tactical Nuke killstreak - even after a 30-gun streak was achieved. It was a state of panic, and long-time franchise fans were pretty peeved.

Yet, all was well and good again as Infinity Ward rolled out the MGB Bombs, which serve as a nuke, ending the game you're in with an instant win and decimating everything in its way. Now, it appears that it won't just be limited to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, as nukes are coming to Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 Will Have a Nuke Killstreak

According to leakers and streamers who attended Infinity Ward's most recent DMZ and Warzone 2 showcase, the tactical nuke is heading to Warzone.

Similar to how the killstreak works in multiplayer, it's believed that the Nuke will be achieved by going on a long killstreak, where the atomic bombs will completely end the game. If this is the case, it'll end no matter how many people are left alive.

The streamer "Dougdangnabbit" behind the Modern Warzone account attended the DMZ showcase that was held by Infinity Ward in LA, where they were told about the lucrative kill streak.

How Do You Get A Nuke In Warzone 2?

Nukes, or MGB in MW2 and Warzone 2, are normally achieved after racking up 30 kills without dying, which will presumably be the same benchmark for Warzone 2 too. Well, 30 eliminations, not downs.

This means that you'd have to drop a 30-bomb, quite literally, without being sent packing to the Gulag or being bought back from the dead by teammates. It's something which appears to be much harder to do in the slower sequel title when compared to the original Warzone.

This may serve as quite a good way for end-games to be played out, rather than having high-kill players darting around the final circles, it could force a much more calculated approach, with players scared for trading their life. While it is a weapon of mass destruction, the Warzone 2 nuke will likely benefit all players in terms of playstyle.
