Now that nearly all of the representatives of each region have been decided, it’s time to look forward to the League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show. This will decide what teams go where and who will they face. Here’s an explanation of the Worlds 2022 Draw Show including when it’ll be, at what time, where to watch, and more.

When is the League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show?

The League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, immediately following the finals of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) as the region is the last regional league to have decided on how teams will be seeded.

Where to watch the League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show

The League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show can be watched through any of the official LCS streams. This includes the official YouTube Channel, official Twitch channel, and of course, the lolesports website.

Once the 2022 LCS Championship finals conclude and ceremonies have been had, the broadcast will quickly switch over to the League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show.

How does the League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show work?

The League of Legends World Championship 2022 Group Draw Show will begin with the Play-in Stage draw. It’ll have 12 Play-in Stage teams drawn into three pools based on past regional performances. Pools will be sorted into two groups of six, Group A and B for the Play-in Stage of the World Championship.

Pool 1 will hold the LPL’s and LCK’s fourth seeds, the LECS’ third seed, and the PCS’ second seed. Pool 2 will hold the LEC’s fourth seed, the LCS’ third seed, the VCS’ second seed, and the LJL’s first seed. And lastly, Pool 3 will hold the first seeds of the LCO, TCL, LLA, and CBLOL.

They will play all of their matches in Mexico City beginning on Thursday, September 29.

Following the conclusion of the Play-in Stage, the Group Stage draw will take the remaining 12 teams that were sorted and place them into groups of four, again, based on past regional performances. Additionally, it’ll begin drawing from the Group Stage pool.

Pool 1 will hold the first seeds of the LPL, LCS, LEC, and LCS. Pool 2 will hold the second seeds of the LPL, LCK, LEC, and the first seed of the PCS. And lastly, Pool 3 will hold the LPL’s and LCK’s third seeds, the LCS’ second seed, and the VCS’ first seed.

Teams from the same region cannot be in the same group as one another. A draw resulting in this will move the team to the next available group.

The Group Stage begins on Friday, October 7, in New York City.
