If you like zombies, how about a whole horde of them crawling out of your PC screen and into your lives? We're sure you've all heard of Capcom's Resident Evil series, but with more remakes, spin-offs, and segues than even we can remember, there are far more than the eight main games to enjoy.

Since 1996, Resident Evil has helped pioneer the survival horror genre, and while things have changed a lot since the pixelated PlayStation days exploring the Spencer Mansion, the core of what made our skin crawl is still there. Even the most die-hard Resi fans might've skipped the odd entry, but now, you can go back and play them for less than ever before.

What Is The Resident Evil Humble Bundle?

We've previously written about the Humble Bundle giving us a ridiculous deal on Rocksteady's Arkham games, but that is nothing compared to picking up 11 Resident Evil titles for just $30. The Humble Bundle has made a name for itself by offering a whole franchise of games for less than the price you might pay for just one of them elsewhere, but when it comes to the Resident Evil Humble Bundle, it's the best we've seen.

If you head over to the Humble Bundle site right now you can nab the "Decades of Horror" bundle. Anyone who pays the minimum of $30/£24.70 will be able to play everything from the 1996 original through to 2017's Resident Evil 7. Chronologically, you'll go through the entire story from Resident Evil Zero, with the spin-off Revelations games also included. It's not a perfect pack, and let's pour one out for Code: Veronica being MIA here.

11 games to shoot your way through is quite the achievement, but if that wasn't enough, you'll get a 50% voucher off for last year's Resident Evil Village. Although it was ambitious to imagine our trip to Castle Dimitrescu would also be part of the package, at least there's some benefit for splashing out on the Humble Bundle if you haven't played this gothic horror yet.

What's Next For Resident Evil?

The Humble Bundle offers the latest version of each game, meaning you'll get the HD remaster of the original, as well as the 2018 and 2019 remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. These aren't just any versions though, with RE2 and RE3 boasting their new-gen upgrades that have just arrived. Now also sounds like the perfect time to familiarise yourself with 2005's legendary Resident Evil 4 (first arriving on the GameCube) before next year's new-gen remake.

Due to a massive data leak, it wasn't exactly a surprise that Capcom was working on a new-gen reimagining of Resident Evil 4. From what little we've seen so far, it promises to add more than just a graphical boost to the GameCube classic, so it could be one of next year's biggest games. Elsewhere, there are whispers of Resident Evil 9 through some sketchy leaks, and the upcoming Shadows of Rose DLC to finally continue Village's story. Basically, now is the perfect time to make the most of the Humble Bundle and relive your nightmares of Lickers and zombie dogs.
