Red Dead Players Horrified By Zombie Horse
If there's any way to describe Red Dead Redemption 2, it's self-serious. Though the game has a few goofs and gaffes littered into its narrative, the game's sheer focus on realism and a pretty bleak story is what draws a lot of fans to the title, and has led to the game's mention whenever the discussion turns to the best games of the 21st century.
Naturally, glitches threaten to breach the game's immersion, the one thing that the game absolutely strives for. And one glitch has seen a horse drag itself from the soil like a zombie in a classic horror movie. Fun!
Zombie Horse Shocks Red Dead Redemption 2 Player
A video shared into the RDR2 subreddit has shown that horses are a lot more resilient than we once thought. And when you thought we wouldn't get an Undead Nightmare 2.
The video was posted by MaoMaoTheCreator and follows Arthur as he gallops towards a camping spot to rest up for a little while. It doesn't seem that his horse got the memo, as they ended up glitching into the floor as Arthur squats fireside. The horse is then seen writing out of the ground like something out of Evil Dead.
It's certainly not the first time the series has seen zombies, what with the first game's hugely popular Undead Nightmare expansion. Yet, fans are still surprised to see a zombie horse in the game. Make up your mind, do you want zombies in Red Dead Redemption 2 or not?
Where Is Red Dead 2's Undead Nightmare?
Though Rockstar is willing to drop some sly hints that we could yet see the undead in Red Dead Redemption 2, we haven't yet seen any official proof that a spooky update is going to be coming to the game.
It's just as well, then, that modders have taken matters into their own hands (as can be expected). With the Red Dead community alive and well, some Walking Dead wannabes have made their own Undead mode in-game.
The mod, titled Undead Nightmare II - Origins, finally brings the apocalypse to Blackwater and beyond, as a way to pass the time until Rockstar finally comes through with the official expansion.
Though the new mode could yet be a while away, fans aren't giving up hope - though we're hoping that it doesn't look quite as janky upon release as this horse crawling out of the ground.
