Overwatch 2 Dating Sim Lands In Time For Valentine’s Day
Damn, Overwatch 2 need some help, either from itself or elsewhere. Though the game has just revealed its One-Punch Man crossover that should have gone down a treat, players are frustrated with Overwatch 2's handling of… pretty much everything.
The new One-Punch Man skin is pretty ugly and indicative of a new attitude to crossovers for Blizzard that doesn't bode well for fans. Even though Rammatra is a fascinating character, his addition hasn't done much for interest in the game.
Overwatch 2 has completely steamrolled the original Overwatch that players loved, but it looks like Blizzard is willing to give the fans what they want - just in time for Valentine's Day.
Overwatch 2 Has Its Own Dating Sim
Blizzard has revealed that along with the new season landing in Overwatch 2, we're also lucky enough to take a brand-new Overwatch dating simulator for a spin.
The new simulator - which Blizzard has stressed is non-canon - is only a short sim experience at 30 minutes long, but there are some free cosmetics in it for you if you truly master the art of playing cupid.
The game is titled Loverwatch and can be played between February 13 and February 28 in your browser. If you're interested, it features Hanzo as your Cupid sidekick when you work through its story.
It's safe to say that Blizzard knows what it's doing, what with all the unsavoury content surrounding the game floating around on the internet, but hey - it's taking control.
What Can You Unlock By Playing Loverwatch?
If you want to take Loverwatch for a spin, then you're in luck, because it's not just romance in the world of Overwatch that you can find.
If you're a real love maestro, you might be able to find the secret ending of the game - and it'll grant you a free play of the game highlight intro for your trouble. There's no word on which hero it'll be for, though Hanzo is our best guess. Still, it'll definitely be worth it for the rare goodies.
The Overwatch 2 dating sim is an interesting angle for Blizzard to take on, but hey, we're certainly not complaining - providing it takes us one step closer to planting a kiss on Cassidy's smug mug.
