If you're a fan of 80's dark horror, then you'll be more than familiar with the classic that is Gremlins. The popular free-to-play crossover fighting game, MultiVersus, is treating us to the crossover of all crossovers, with the gremlins taking over just in time for Halloween.

When Are The Gremlins Coming To MultiVersus?

The developer behind the game, Player First Games, has confirmed that both Gizmo (good guy) and Stripe (bad guy) are coming to the brawler. The player can decide whether they will choose the path of good or evil. I don't know about you, but the obvious choice here is Stripe - right?

They wrote on Twitter that Gizmo will be coming first, with his arch nemesis on his way afterwards.

They originally teased the crossover with a short video on September 1, which showed a box with Gizmo's hands popping out for a second at the end. According to the Tweet, Gizmo will be available in-game from Tuesday, September 6.

Fans were quick to reply to the Tweet, with one commenting: "GREMLINS ALREADY AINT NO WAY?!". Another added: "Yes, let's freaking go! Been waiting for gremlins". People are pretty happy about it judging by the rest of the replies.

It looks like we're waiting for quite a few characters currently, but with Warner Bros. behind the game, they have an almost never-ending slate of IPs to choose from.

What Is MultiVersus?

According to the description: "MultiVersus is a platform fighter that lets you team up with your friends using some of the most iconic characters including Batman, Shaggy, & more. Find your favorite fighter combos and save the Multiverse!".

The game has been pretty well received, with people enjoying being able to fight with characters such as Harley Quinn, Tom and Jerry, Finn the Human, Wonder Woman, Steven Universe, Jake the Dog, Garnet, and Superman.
