TL;DW - MN3 & Hadi Agree On Who The Favourites To Win Mid-Season Madness Is

Some guys are just built different. Who better to ask about the upcoming Mid-Season Madness than the hype beasts of two participating teams in London Spitfire’s tank Hadi "Hadi" Bleinagel and Yoon "MN3" Jae-hee. Both players are coming into the tournament with a lot of momentum, being the clear ace players for their teams in the past stage. We talked to them about what we can expect at the event and more.

While we try to keep it as concise as possible, we know it can be hard to fit 10-20 minute interviews into your schedule, so we’ve summarised the most important talking points each player had to share. 

MN3 - Philadelphia Fusion

• MN3 thinks he needed some time to get in the swing of things but is now doing well
• The Fusion had issues with keeping the backline alive but they worked hard on the problem 
• MN3 feels he wasn’t really known by the community before the Seoul match but starting from that game, he wants to keep that reputation going for the rest of the season
• Carpe and MN3 don’t have a rivalry but they help each other to develop as a player instead. Prior to joining the Overwatch League, MN3 even looked up to Carpe
• Before MN3 became pro, he wanted to look unique so he was called “MMMNNN” but because that would’ve been very hard to pronounce for others, he went with MN3, with the three standing for the triple M&N

MN3’s Mouse Settings And Aim Practice Regimen

• MN3 believes that splitting playtime on a hero is a problem, and it’s better to designate someone on the team to pick it up

• MN3 uses Kovaak’s Aim Trainer to get back into the swing of things when he feels he has an off-day with track aiming, but normally he just plays Overwatch
• MN3’s mouse settings are: DPI 800, Polling rate 1000, 5.0 Overwatch In-game Sensibility
• MN3 uses a G903, because he saw Carpe use it

Mid-Season Madness

• Because APAC doesn’t have Rush Comp, they'd rather play Ashe than Sojourn
• They discussed Rush comps and the Fusion doesn’t think it will pose a serious problem to them
• While the number of scrims was lower this year in APAC, MN3 believes in quality prevails and that APAC isn’t behind the North American region
• In last year’s Korean Contenders, the strong T1 team had to bow out due to COVID-related issues with their team and had to forfeit their match against O2, the team around Proper, FiNN and Kilo. MN3 doesn’t believe the Shock vs the Fusion is a rematch of those two teams, but he is looking forward to the match because the Shock has been winning a lot. He also wants to face Proper
• When asked who will win the Mid-Season Madness tournament if he can’t say his own team, MN3 picks the Los Angeles Gladiators to win it all. He thinks they have a great backline with strong chemistry

Hadi - London Spitfire 

Hadi on his performance

• Hadi thinks he could’ve performed way better on Reinhardt with better ping last season. He felt especially punished because he likes to play with a mechanical emphasis which is not possible on ping
• He does believe that Overwatch 2 suits his style way more

Spitfire’s second stage explained

• The Spitfire tried to avoid playing double flex support but when they felt forced to, they remembered that Backbone played quite well when they had to find a flex support in the pre-season and someone needed to fill the role
• London is now getting way better scrims than they used to including all the top teams

Mid-season Madness

• Hadi says that the Spitfire made it to Hawaii a little earlier
• He’s looking forward to the experience and thinks they will be even better in offline situations because they have rock solid mental due to their coaching especially form ChrisTFer 
• Hadi thinks NA is way better at Reinhardt compositions, and he thinks APAC even copies their strategy
• The best Reinhardt who he played against is Florida Mayhem’s SOMEONE, with Reiner in second
• Hadi thinks his team is going to roll in their opener against the Atlanta Reign because they got worse according to him. Hadi thinks they are too reliant on Kai's individual outplays
• The Spitfire are very confident going far in the tournament. Hadi is especially confident against APAC teams because they have limited experience against Reinhardt compositions. Hadi thinks it’s worth not giving them any experience by scrimming them before the tournament start
• Hadi thinks APAC is not that good at the moment because they are really inconsistent. Seoul is the most consistently good team in the region
• He’s not concerned about the Dragons and he doesn’t think they are that good this season. He’d like to play them
• Hadi also thinks Gladiators are the favourite
