Ooh, we love a good leak, don't we? It's not ideal for developers who are working hard to keep their cards close to their chests, but there's something exciting about knowing something we shouldn't - especially when it comes to software giants like Nintendo.

The airtightness of Nintendo's work makes leaks from its offices all the more tantalising, and with a new Pokemon collection on the way, we've been hoping we could see some new details arise.  And fans are taking advantage of that in the funniest way.

Scarlet And Violet Fans Are Being Baited With Leaks

Fans are scrambling to find leaks about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with trolls are using it as a chance to rinse them. Floating around the internet is a 7GB dump of Pokemon Scarlet, which seems to be the most popular choice of the two games. Be warned, though, it isn't legitimate by a long shot.

In fact, when would-be hackers actually boot up what they think is the game, the application just plays an entire episode of Cory in the House. Complete with the theme song and everything, it's absolute comedy gold.

You can see the rip in action in a video from Twitter above, and it's an utterly fantastic way to goof on fans who think they're getting the game early. Of course, the fact that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet aren't out until November 18 hasn't stopped leaks from being everywhere right now.

Pokemon Leaks Could Have Been More Vicious

To be fair to these hackers with these fake builds of the new Pokemon games could have been much, much, more malicious. These dumps are typically packed with nasty malware that completely brick consoles, or contain nasty NSFW videos - so fans should be grateful they've at least been met with an episode of Cory in the House, to be fair.

Lesson learned though, trying to illegally download the latest Pokemon game for free and you could be in for a nasty surprise.  We'd definitely take a free episode of Cory in the House, though we imagine the disappointment after realising that players weren't getting to play the new Pokemon games early. Not a bad trade-off, all things considered.
