Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition Sold Out Almost Instantly

The Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition managed to sell out almost immediately after stock went up for pre-order, despite its $300 price tag. Some believed that due to a coordinated boycott of sorts (due to J.K. Rowling's involvement with the project), that it may not be as successful. However, it looks like there's still quite a lot of excitement for the game. 

Hogwarts Legacy is described as an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. In the game, you get to attend Hogwarts in the 1800s as your own character, and you 'hold the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart'. And, you get to be at the 'centre of your own adventure in the wizarding world'.

What Do You Get In The Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition?

The Digital Deluxe Edition will set you back $80/£75, and includes the same as the physical Deluxe version (including 72 hours early and the Dark Arts Pack), but you'll also get the Dark Arts Garrison Hat and a cross-gen digital upgrade on PlayStation and Xbox.

However, the Collector's Edition ($300/£369) gives you the same as the digital one, as well as a physical floating wand with a book, a collectable steelbook case, and an in-game Kelpie robe. 

Where Can I Buy Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition?

If you're still keen to get yours hands on the collector's edition, I'm afraid that your chance has passed. However, it looks as though a lot are currently being sold on eBay and other bidding sites - although it may set you back around $600. We had a quick look and saw some being sold for upwards of £1000 - so it depends on how much you really want that floating wand. 

Hogwarts Legacy is expected to be available in March 2023, following quite a few delays.
