The Call of Duty: Vanguard release is almost upon us, and as November 5 looms ahead, Call of Duty fans are starting to get a glimpse into what's coming from the 2021 title.

The Vanguard beta turned out to be wildly successful, despite months of rumours that the game would be 'an unfinished product at launch', but it isn’t just stopping at Champion Hill. According to reports, Vanguard is changing the usual mix and adding not just zombies to Zombies, but demons too.

Are demons coming to Vanguard Zombies?

Activision confirmed that Vanguard’s beloved Zombies mode would be properly announced on 14 October 2021, and it’s likely that players will get a full trailer for the upcoming game mode - but just what do we already know about it?

With Vanguard being set in the WWII era, it’s all but confirmed that the new title will emulate past games and bring back the Nazi zombies, although this time they’ll be joined by a new entity. As well as a brand-new foe, it’s already been confirmed by Activision that the new Zombies mode will include demons on the map.

What do we know about Call of Duty: Vanguard?

The only element of Vanguard left shrouded in a bit of mystery would be the campaign, as players have yet to be given an official taster of the main gameplay. Players do, in fact, know the villains they’ll be up against thanks to a recent trailer.

It's also known that the plot will be based around trying to stop the rise of a ‘Fourth Reich’ in the wake of Hitler’s death. Either way, demons make it sound like a pretty brutal DOOM crossover.

Activision has already gifted players an intense first look at the game’s multiplayer modes in a range of open-beta weekends. Modes confirmed for the full game are Champion Hill, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy and Patrol.

With less than a month to go until Vanguard releases, make sure you check out the weapons you’ll be needing to use to survive, and kill.
