On Sunday 21 August, HBO Max released a trailer detailing all the upcoming series landing on their platform, but one of the most exciting elements of the surprise drop was the exclusive first look at The Last of Us  TV series.

The first shot can see Pedro Pascal's Joel and Bella Ramsey's Ellie walking across a snowy bridge and then continues on with quick-fire shots of the horror that later ensues.

The trailer also shows additional footage of the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, House of The Dragon, as well as Succession and many more of their popular titles.

Following the trailer drop, Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann posted a tweet saying to fans "You ain't seen nothing yet."

It's still not known exactly when the adaptation will hit our TV screens, although we do know it's definitely going to be in 2023. Now that we've had a small taste, however, we can eagerly await more trailers in the coming months.
