Five Nights At Freddy's Movie Finally Gets A Positive Update
The reveal of a Five Nights at Freddy's movie naturally brought scepticism. Because, after all, it's a Five Nights At Freddy's movie. The horror game series prompted a wave of fan art, novels, and Game Theory videos that we never thought possible for an indie title.
It was only natural that Hollywood would get involved, and with Blumhouse behind the wheel, we could be in for a silly and schlocky treat. After months of quiet, we know more about how the Five Nights at Freddy's film could be (against all odds_ pretty good.
Who Is Directing The Five Nights At Freddy's Movie?
We finally have a new update from Jason Blum himself (via Twitter) on the progress of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie. The details themselves come together to paint the picture of a fascinating film.
Blum revealed that the film will be directed by Emma Tammi. She's the filmmaker behind The Wind and is known for her contributions as a director to TV series Into The Dark, so we know she has her experience in horror. If this wasn't enough, we know Five Nights at Freddy's will hopefully start filming in February 2023.
For the movie to go from offering no information to revealing that it's mere months from filming is intense, but we're certainly glad to hear it. But that's not where the news ends - as the animatronics themselves have a team that could be making them something truly special.
Jim Henson's Creature Shop Is Working On FNAF's Animatronics
In the very same announcement tweet from Blum, he confirmed that the animatronics that made Five Nights At Freddy's so iconic will be developed by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. You shouldn't need a refresher, but it's the team behind The Muppets.
This is massive news, as it's clear that Blumhouse knows just how important these animatronics are. To know they're in such safe hands is certainly a relief. Though we might have originally turned our noses up at the concept, the Five Nights at Freddy's movie could end up being a shocker in more ways than one. We'll grab our flashlights.
