Elden Ring Fans Give The Game's Lamest Boss His Own Cutscene
Elden Ring has got plenty of feral monsters peppered across The Lands Between that you have to take down. It's kind of Elden Ring's thing, to be honest.
Though the spirit of adventure permeates throughout the whole game, a lot of the draw is the same as every FromSoftware game before it - the huge, looming behemoths that you need to take down in order to progress. Although, some of them are a little bit pants. Luckily though, there are fans waiting in the background to make them feel a little cooler. Bless.
Why Has The Soldier Of Godrick Got His Own Intro?
Most of the important Elden Ring bosses have their own introductory cinematic that paints them as a total badass you're going to need to seriously put the work into to take down. It makes the likes of Radahn and Malenia even more imposing as they get their own backstory. Sadly, it's not a luxury everyone can afford.
The Soldier of Godrick is one of the first bosses you'll encounter in-game, and he's a bit dull, all things considered. But, one user has chosen to change that by giving him his own introductory cinematic.
Reddit user Jaown9 has shared their creation in the Elden Ring subreddit, which sees the camera pan across the water of his cave, the skeletons that lie there, before settling on him as he runs towards the player.
Fans React To The Soldier Of Godrick's New Intro Cinematic
Fans are loving the new intro for the Soldier of Godrick, feeling as though the cinematic should have been there in the first place. "If they put a cutscene like this for a tutorial boss, I'm pretty sure 50% of people would delete this game out of fear," says one user. "Like, imagine needing a meaningful cutscene for a MERE tutorial boss."
"Honestly by the way he comes from the boss portal it's like he is treating you like the boss," says another. They've got a point to be fair - maybe it's more afraid of you than you are of it. Either way, the Soldier of Godrick cinematic is a fun addition to Elden Ring that finally gives the Soldier of Godrick his moment in the spotlight. Before you chop him to bits, obviously.
