It's weird to think about Elden Ring as a 2022 game, but given how intense the whole experience has been and how many players are still making their journeys across The Lands Between, it's hard not to imagine it as something still massively relevant.

We suppose that's just a testament to its incredible quality. The one-year anniversary of Elden Ring is fast approaching, and now, fans are wondering if FromSoftware will be doing anything to celebrate the milestone.

Thankfully, it looks like there could be something big in the works, with the long-rumoured Elden Ring DLC potentially being on the way.

Elden Ring DLC Has Been Leaked On Steam

Oh boy, here it comes. It looks as though long-standing rumours of an Elden Ring DLC pack have been validated, as hints to its existence have been found lurking in the depths of the fantasy epic.

It has been noted by u/Ashen in the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit that various packs of images and preview data on Elden Ring's Steam page have been updated - the third instance of this occurrence in its existence.

The packs have only ever been updated during the game's original release and after the PvP update, so it's expected that this could be another huge step for the game.

Of course, while this evidence is incredibly compelling, we still don't have solid concrete proof of an Elden Ring DLC - we likely won't until it's revealed by FromSoftware themselves.

But, it's very likely that if these packs are changed, an announcement is just around the corner. There's no better time than a game's one-year anniversary. Then again, a DLC reveal could come as a pre-anniversary treat.

Going against the idea of an Elden Ring DLC, the Dark Souls games had been rolling out DLC content long before now. It's true that we're in a post-coronavirus world - and we did get the PvP update - but still, many have written off a DLC.

What Have We Heard About The Elden Ring DLC?

We'll be positive for once and assume that at least one Elden Ring DLC is out there in the aether. Remember that Bandai Namco CEO Yasuo Miyakawa said the company always planning to "expand" the Elden Ring name.

Importantly, it would all fit together with the supposed ransomware leaks that claimed a Barbarians of the Badlands DLC was coming.

Until FromSoft gives us the wink, we'll just have to wait and twiddle our thumbs. Come on Hidetaka Miyazaki, give us what we want. You know you want to.
